A HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone and especially to France where our first sundial for 2015 has just arrived. It is a special edition of our Orbdial and its place and time are marked with detailed engravings and personal inscriptions.
There were a lot of discussions about getting all the details right for this special sundial. It will be placed at a house in France that is further south and further east than here in Britain so the differences in time form part of the engravings. Orbdial’s unique universal design has allowed the angle of the dial plate to be set correctly for the local latitude.
Just before Christmas we sent out a sundial to Canada, which needed setting for the particular latitude there. Closer to home we are working on two new dials headed one for Sussex and one for Scotland.
