The Royal Highland Show went well for us. After all the preparation beforehand it always seems to be a blur with so many visitors to our stand as each day goes by. This year we tried to create a compact and colourful display showing different sundial designs and new pedestals set among an arrangement of bright blossoms of garden flowers. The handcrafted ironwork of the ‘Parkland’ pedestal with the ‘Orbdial’ sundial on top was much admired.
Building our exhibit inside a tent turned out to be a good move. You do miss the sunshine of being entirely outdoors, which does seem a shame for showing sundials, but it is much easier to set up a good display for visitors. The ‘Solar Time’ sundial exhibit mounted on a turntable was very popular.
The world never stops turning of course and our diary moves straight on to The Scottish Game Fair at Scone Palace, Perth, 4-6 July—do visit us on Stand D12, Duck Row. Later on we will be at Blair Castle Horse Trials, 21-24 August.
