EARTHDIAL is a beautiful art piece. A hand-made globe supports a sundial. Rooted in the mysteries of earth spinning in space, this work speaks of time’s beginnings. Organic form and engineered precision reflect a harmony of nature and science. A unique surface is created on the globe by the glaze from the pottery kiln.
Polished stainless steel for the dial and machined brass for the gnomon provide a striking contrast with the hand-made stoneware of the globe. Patination on the brass adds a restful touch in the colour tones. Every pot from the kiln is unique.
